DAY 1 - Kathmandu
Welcome to Nepal. One of our team will meet you at Kathmandu's International Airport to transfer you to our charming Kathmandu hotel. Its now time to settle in, relax, recover from your flights, discover the colour, sights and sounds of Thamel and do any last minute shopping you might need before the expedition. Flights come in at all times, so our team will meet as a group at breakfast tomorrow morning. Meals are at your own expense on your arrival day. Accommodation will be with your own room for your first night.
DAY 2 - Fly to Pokhara
Today everyone will meet for breakfast in the hotels breakfast room. You will be met by our teams representative and transferred to the domestic airport for a morning flight to Pokhara (included). Our River team will meet you at the Pokhara Airport to bring you to our local accommodation (included). After lunch we will meet the whole river team and fit out our kayaks. Dinner will be served with sunset view over the Himalayas (weather permitting). All meals are included.
Day 3 - Lake Day
Get to know your boat and your guides! Today we paddle across the beautiful Fewa Lake which boasts views of the stunning Annapurna Range (Himalayas). We will split into two groups, beginners and intermediates. We will take some time to gauge peoples current skill sets and will progress to working on strokes, rolling and rescues.
Day 4 to 6 - Lower Marshyandi River with Bandipur & Arughat Village's
Grade II
Today we set out the Lower Marshyandi. We have a number of sections to choose from depending on peoples skill level and its the perfect river to warm up into our paddling adventure. On the lower Marshyandi we will work on skills, confidence and boat based rescues while continuing down stream to explore this pretty valley. We run the Marshyandi as day expeditions and stay in the beautiful village of Bandipur for the first 2 nights. After the third day of paddling we travel to the more remote village of Arughat on the Buri Gandaki. Along the way to Arughat you will see traditional villages, local farming and a part of Nepal that is rarely visited.
Day 7 & 8 - Lower Buri Gandaki
Grade II/III-
The Buri Gandaki is a rarely travelled river draining the slops of Manaslu and Ganesh Himal in a spectacular valley. This section of the Buri Gandaki runs with quiet charm through local villages, traditionally farmed land and natural forest sections and will be our introduction to expedition. With plenty of time to practice our skills and develop our confidence, our team will also introduce you to our gear boat and camp set up. All our equipment will be taken on the gear boat and picnic lunch's on white sandy beaches are all part of this river.
DAY 9 - Pokhara Rest Days
Relax in our beautiful guest house and explore the lakeside. This is a fabulous time to recharge, view the beautiful Annapurna Mountain. Breakfast included. Lunch & Dinner is at your own expense. Activities such as paragliding, mountain flights, spa retreats and mountain biking can be arranges by our team (additional costs)
DAY 10 to 13 - Kaligandaki River
An early start sees us jump aboard the adventure bus to the Kaligandaki River. Named after the goddess Kail this holy river cuts through one of the deepest gorgeous of the world, a naturally beautiful river, high cliffs, sandy beaches and regular rapids, Kaligandaki is both stunning and humbling. On the last day we return to Pokhara to enjoy a celebratory dinner with our river team.
DAY 14 - Fly to Kathmandu and Temple Tour
Today you will be transferred to Pokhara domestic Airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Your Day guide will meet you at the Kathmandu domestic airport to transfer you to your hotels. At your leisure your guide will be available with a private vehicle to share a guided tour of Kathmandu's temples and history. Our guests enjoy the freedom of exploring the shopping of Thamel this evening before flying home tomorrow. Breakfast and lunch are included, however we find that our guests love the freedom of the last night to explore, so tonight dinner is at your own expense.
