Yoga

Yoga in Nature
Yoga in the outdoors through extended wilderness journeys deepens our sense of connection and appreciation for nature, our earths wild places, environmental issues and challenges we are facing in the world. During our journey we focus on the union of our body and mind with the river and gorges around us. By practicing yoga in nature, every class is unique, utilizing the natural surroundings of the river banks, beaches, rocks and trees.

Meditation
Meditation allows us to explore and develop our heart, soul and mind through systematically observing, accepting, understanding and training ourselves. We welcome you to explore meditations throughout the journey or to similarly take time to yourself in beautiful surrounding to deepen your own meditation practice.

The Rivers
Karnali River
Grade III & IV
Nepal’s longest and largest river, the Karnali springs forth from Mount Kailash, a sacred river in Tibet, and the centre of the universe for both Buddhist and Hindu. Flowing south into Nepal, it forms the major drainage system for the western districts before dropping off into dramatic canyons raging with big volume white water and eventually flowing into remote areas of pristine jungle abundant with wildlife, birdlife and fish such as the highly prized Mahseer.

The first half of this river journey into the “wild west” offers excellent white water excitement, The second half of the trip settles down into some more moderate & gentle rapids and eventually a relaxed float rewarded by pristine and unspoiled wilderness. Many consider this spectacular journey one of the finest rivers in the world.
